Easy Care Vinyl Pools & Pool Covers
We manufacture vinyl swimming pool kits for above-ground and in-ground (sunken) installation, plus liners for existing vinyl pools. Every kit includes the pump, filter, ladder and fittings you need to get swimming, you just supply the labour (or ask us for a referral to an installer).
Standard Portapool Above Ground Pools
Afford a pool manufacture and supply round above ground Portapool mesh cage pools.
Our above ground pools are the perfect low cost answer for the hot South African summers. Easy to transport and quick to set up.
Unpack it, put it together and fill it up. No construction required. Installation is best on a level clean sand base.
Because its above ground you can move it whenever your plans change.
Above ground round Portapools are all 1.2m deep and range from 2.75m diameter to 7.5m diameter.
We use a 4mm galvanised steel mesh frame, 20mm split tubing top and bottom with the 550 micron blue liner engineered for swimming pools.
As an option you can install 5mm Corex protection boards between the mesh and liner, this gives the pool a smooth finish inside and provides extra protection to the liner from behind. Optional for above ground mesh pools but recommended if the budget allows.

Sunken Vinyl Lined Pool Kits
At a fraction of the cost of gunite or fiberglass, Afford a pool sunken vinyl pool kits give you a low maintenance, in ground pool that looks and feels like a built pool.
Choose from a round or oval shaped standard Portapool mesh cage vinyl lined pool kit.
Round Mesh Cage Pool
No construction required. Simply excavate 30cm larger than the size selected and install your round pool in the hole as though it is free standing, backfill and pave.
Afford a pool’s round pools are all 1.2m deep and range from 2.75m diameter to 7.5m diameter. You can dish or cove your base to give more depth in the centre of the pool.
The 4mm galvanised steel frame is the strength of the pool structure.
The corex protection boards 5mm are installed between the mesh and the liner. this gives the pool a smooth finish inside and provides protection to the liner from the back fill. We also supply the backing plates to attach the skimmerbox, aimflow return jet and underwater lights if required.
The liner is the waterproofing – 550 micron vinyl – engineered for swimming pool use – algaecide in the formulation to assist pool maintenance – UV protection.
You can maintain the pool with salt or chemicals, use an automatic pool cleaner and also heat the pool without any side effects to the liner.

Oval Mesh Cage Pool
Installation is similar to Afford a pool’s round mesh cage option, BUT for the oval shaped mesh cage type pool you are required to construct two retaining walls on the straight side of the oval shape.
For example the 5m x 3m oval pool, two retaining walls 2m long must be constructed, 1.1m high and 3m parallel (inside measurement) The water pressure will attempt to push the mesh round, these walls will hold the straight side of the oval shape.
The two round ends or heads of the pool will be free standing as in the standard round pool. As these two walls are only structural, you can use any building material available. The easiest being the large cement blocks. (390 x 190 x 140)

Vinyl Lined Block Wall Pool
Design your own shape , size and depth of your vinyl lined block wall pool.
The entire wall is constructed our of cement block and plastered smooth. The liner is custom made to fit your constructed shape. Installed on a sand base.
No steel in the walls or casting of the floor is a huge saving on this type of vinyl pool.
There are a few “do and dont’s” If you construct a rectangular or square pool you must round off the corners to 60cm radius. You can have a deep end shallow end if you like.
We have a fibreglass walk in step which you can build into the wall or use our anodised aluminium ladder.

Replacement Liners
Is your existing pool looking tired? A well maintained vinyl pool will last between 10 to 15 years but over time they can deteriorate.
Relining your existing vinyl pool with a new liner is so much more economical than the fibreglass or marble option. Remember your existing pool is constructed to take vinyl.

We manufacture our liners using the standard 550 micron blue swimming pool vinyl, engineered to resist degradation by ultra violet and other natural weathering process. There is also an algaecide in the formulation to assist with your pool maintenance.
All we need is the exact measurements of your existing pool and we will manufacture a new liner to fit, be it a standard size or a custom size or shape. Contact us and we can assist you in the correct measuring method so we can make your liner fit correctly.
Our liners are also very portable, so we can courier them any where in Southern Africa and further afield.
